Electrical Engineer – Substation

Travel Requirements : Up to 25%

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support substation engineering and consulting services for clients across the U.S. and internationally. This role focuses on protection & control and physical layout design for high-voltage substations (13kV–500kV), ranging from small distribution upgrades to large transmission projects. The position offers opportunities to influence the resiliency, reliability, and economic operation of the electric grid.

Key Responsibilities :

Design & Engineering

• Develop proposals, scopes, conceptual designs, and execution plans.
• Prepare engineering cost estimates, labor forecasts, and schedules.
• Create physical substation designs : yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, raceways, and AC / DC auxiliary systems.
• Produce protection and control designs : panel layouts, one-lines, three-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams.
• Perform engineering studies and calculations : grounding, lightning protection, AC / DC load studies.
• Prepare equipment specifications and support procurement and factory acceptance testing.
