Description :

Registered Nurses are responsible for assessing and evaluating the nursing and medical needs of patients.

They initiate and direct the implementation of nursing care plans.

The role includes observing, evaluating, and recording patient behavior, condition, and response to medications and treatments.

Registered Nurses coordinate clinical and medical appointments.

They provide professional nursing care, including administering medications and treatments as ordered by a physician.

Assistance with physical examinations, vital sign monitoring, feeding, and grooming patients may also be required.

The position involves patient and family education and responding to emergencies.

Registered Nurses direct the delivery of psychiatric and nursing care by lower-level professional and nonprofessional staff on assigned shifts.

They monitor medication administration, documentation, patient care, and the operation of medical equipment.

Assisting in the orientation and training of new nursing services employees is also part of the role.

Registered Nurses prepare and review records and reports, including incident reports, nursing care plans, and shift reports.

They update nursing care plans and transcribe or verify doctors' orders.

Writing and reviewing treatment plans and nursing summaries are essential functions.

The role requires participation as an interdisciplinary treatment team member.

Registered Nurses attend seminars, meetings, and conferences as well as in-service training sessions and programs.

Knowledge of professional nursing procedures, psychiatric or developmental nursing, and employee training is required.

Skills in operating medical equipment are necessary.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to handle concrete variables and write meaningful, accurate reports.

Physical fitness is also a requirement for the position.
