SUMMARY :

USAM, a high-end architectural millwork firm base in Northern VA, is looking for a Receiving & Material Handler Associate for our facility in Manassas, VA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Material Handler :

• Receives, organizes, and stages material.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in proper storage location.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Stage production orders for consumption to ensure continuous production flow.
• Perform quality inspections of materials, ensuring that the delivery is completed as requested and the order meets company and industry standards.
• Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered.
• Organize stock in the most efficient way using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallets, etc.)
• Handle pallets and boxes using material handling equipment and other moving tools throughout the production facilities.
• Wears personal protective equipment as necessary for the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,

distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
