Lead is a fintech building banking infrastructure for embedded financial products and services. We operate an FDIC-insured bank headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Additionally, we have offices in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and New York City, where our technical, product, design, and legal teams operate.

Lead Bank wants to provide a real world experience and opportunity to college students who are interested in the Finance and Accounting industry. We are offering a summer internship, with the potential to develop into a long term position. This individual will assist in giving back to the Kansas City community while supporting Lead Bank’s Accounting / Finance Team.

In this role you will :
Assist with daily Accounting / Finances responsibilities and tasksAssist with daily entry processingPerform daily and monthly reconciliationsAssist with common accounting functions such as fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and accounts payableBe given the opportunity to participate in special projects, such as research and presentationsEnjoy community involvement through volunteer opportunitiesBe given banking experience through department shadow rotation which could include experience with departments such as Operations, Lending, and Internal AuditVisit offsite clients / partnersAssist in department procedure and process development, including involvement in new Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) programsAssist in department organizational objectives, such as revisions to file storage standards and project managementPerform other duties as assignedQualifications :
College Junior, Senior or graduate level of educational experience in Accounting / FinanceMajor focus in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field of studyExcellent communication skillsStrong problem management skillsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsAbility to self-manage workday and tasksDesire to operate in many systems, including Microsoft and Google applicationsWhat we offer :

The base pay for this position ranges from $20 / hour in our lowest geographic market up to $23 / hour in our highest geographic market.
