Part-time (10-30 hours/week) opportunities exist. Main Job Duties:

• Perform treatments and administer medications under the supervision of a Veterinarian
• Assist Certified Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with procedures as directed
• Extensive communication with pet owners, such as taking patient histories, reviewing treatment plans, discussing estimates, and visit wrap-ups.
• Restrain dogs, and cats for examinations
• Perform laboratory diagnostics using our in-house laboratory equipment
• Perform x-rays with our digital x-ray machine
• Maintain a clean environment between patients, including cleaning equipment, exam rooms, surgery suite, treatment area, kennels, runs, and instruments
• Assist in monitoring stable sedated/anesthetized patients
• Care for boarded stray animals
• Other duties as assigned

A commitment to low-stress animal handling is a must. All staff should be able to communicate in a respectful manner with clients and fellow employees.


Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 years animal handling experience
• Interest in pursuing CVT/LVT
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Hours:

• Hours are for either multiple part-time positions or one full-time position and can vary from week to week depending on needs of clinic.

Job Type: Part-Time


Pay: $18.00 per hour


Expected hours: 10-30 per week (part time), 40 per week (full time)


Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Rotating weekends
• Potential to add in evening hours and Sundays in the near future
