ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY) The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that could be performed.   • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all the agency’s sites.
  • Performs minor repairs of equipment, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Repairs damage to walls, windows, doors, hardware, etc.
  • Assists in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Drives agency vehicle on agency business, which may include commuting to work locations that might take up to several hours of travel time.
  • Maintains a clean driving record as well as the currency of the driver’s license.
  • Drives on agency business using personal vehicle; may be required to transport clients, equipment, protected health information (PHI), and / or confidential personnel or TPCP agency information.

TRAVEL : Between sites / suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM :

Completion of High School or G.E.D. Minimum two years’ experience working as a maintenance person with experience in construction and facility maintenance / repair, preferably in a social service setting; must be able to provide a clean DMV report.

LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance / registration if driving; and,
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old, excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport, inclusive of bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.
  • Compensation : $23.00 -$25.00 hourly

    Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM.

    KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

    Knowledge Of

  • Knowledge of methods, materials, chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment used in janitorial work.
  • Knowledge of related safety practices.
  • Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Ability To :

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in addition to computer skills.
  • Ability to use and care for janitorial equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Ability to patch, texture, and paint walls and doors.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to any given situation.
