Supervisory Strategic Sourcing Chief
Directs the activities of a Strategic Materiel Sourcing Group with responsibility for a wide range of acquisition and sourcing functions. Serves as agency's point of contact for key suppliers exercising ultimate responsibility for maximizing strategic relationships on behalf of DLA. Manages the full range of procurement actions required to accomplish complex pre- and post-award contracting processes. Performs industrial preparedness planning, including targeting gaps in surge and sustainment coverage and in the developing industrial base solutions. Performs analyses to support strategic sourcing recommendations and develop strategic sourcing market baskets for long term contracts, prime vendor, or other strategic contracting arrangements. Plans, evaluates, and maintains technical surveillance over government production operations.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements.
Position is a DoD Critical Acquisition Position & requires DoD Acquisition Contracting, Foundational certification within required timeframes. Selectee must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years and sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
