Coordinator For Residential Education
The Coordinator for Residential Education (CRE) position for the USF St. Petersburg campus is a position within the department of Residential Education reporting to the Dean of Students within Student Success. The CRE reports to the Assistant Director for Residential Education. The USF St. Petersburg campus has three residence halls and approximately 1,000 residential students.
The CRE has overall responsibility for leading residential communities by creating safe and learning-focused environments within the residence halls. The position requires leadership in areas of staff supervision development and training, facilitation of residential curriculum, community engagement, advising, academic support, learning communities, student conduct, on-call and crisis response, and facility management. CREs support residential students through individual and group interactions to achieve Student Success persistence and retention goals and initiatives within the community.
This is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position.

Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree, with at least one year of related experience.
Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. SB 1310 : Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed :
(a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
(b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
(c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
(d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
(e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field from an accredited university / college
Previous experience with a residential curriculum and LLCs
Experience supervising student staff
Work experience in a Housing and Residential Education department at a college or university
