POSITION SUMMARY :
The Production Technician is responsible for supporting and contributing to the Production Operations Asset Team within the framework of Talos Energy Inc.'s policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position will be responsible for day-to-day production-related support activities, including but not limited to :
- Gather and organize data for various department needs
- Update wellbore diagrams
- Provide supporting documentation for AFE / APM packages
- Prepare exhibits and PowerPoint slides for meetings
- Interface with engineers and the Regulatory Department to provide documents and exhibits for regulatory filings
- Prepare annual operating plans for partners
- Populate project lookback templates
- Interface with Accounting and Operations Planning groups to track and report LOE
- Update and maintain the Talos strategic initiatives database
- Make WellView entries for well work activities
- Fulfill requests from other departments and partners for AFE information, downtime data, production data, daily reports, etc.
- Review daily production and downtime data for quality assurance
- Assist staff in organizing existing data on shared drives and facilitating document management processes
- Track and help facilitate MOC and action-item processes
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Minimum 5 years of production technician experience, preferably in the upstream oil and gas industryBachelor's degree in a technical field preferredQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :
Basic understanding of oilfield terminologyExperience in building wellbore diagramsFamiliar with workover, completion, and drilling reportsAble to perform detailed work with speed and accuracyPossess strong analytical skills and be able to interpret different types of dataUse discretion and confidentiality with sensitive and / or private information or mattersAbility to organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload consisting of many detailed, separate procedures and tight deadlinesCommunicate effectively, both orally in person and in writingRecognizes personal strengths and weaknesses and be proactive in self-developmentHave a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectivelyWilling to work a demanding and flexible scheduleProficiency in Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with Spotfire, WellView, OpenWells, and real-time trending tools (Seeq, PI Vision) preferredCERTIFICATES & LICENSES :
