Candidate must be able to circulate C-sections and manage both mother and newborn in a couplet setting. Key Responsibilities Provide care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients in an LDRP environment Circulate C-sections and assist in obstetric triage Deliver education and support for breastfeeding and postpartum recovery Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services) Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR Requirements Active RN License (New Mexico or Compact) Experience : Minimum 1 year in L&D / LDRP Certifications : Required : BLS, NRP Preferred : STABLE, PALS Preferred Experience : Teaching or community hospital background Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 (Days / Nights / Weekends) Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend Unit Details Unit Type : LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Beds : 11 Patient Population : Neonates and postpartum mothers Common Diagnoses : TTN, Hypoglycemia, R / O Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Term Newborns Special Procedures : LPs, Circumcision, UVC insertion, Intubation, Stabilization Scrub Color : Purple or Navy Blue (OR scrubs allowed) Additional Info First-time travelers welcome!
