Job Responsibilities
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and document treatment in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and responses to care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a professional nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).2-3 years of prior ICU clinical RN experience required.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and ability to apply problem-solving techniques in patient care settings.Thank you for considering this opportunity with Albany Medical Center!
