Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM Compensation : $20–$35 per hour (DOE) Reports To : Design Manager About the Role We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer to join our signage design team. This role involves creating conceptual, permit, and production drawings for commercial and architectural signage projects nationwide. The ideal candidate combines technical precision with artistic creativity, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to bring designs to life. Key Responsibilities Develop conceptual and detailed drawings for commercial and architectural signage. Prepare permit drawing sets for city planning approvals, including forms, schedules, and technical details. Produce production drawing sets for in-house fabrication. Collaborate with internal teams on large-scale or multi-site signage programs. Translate hand sketches into accurate digital design files. Maintain client confidentiality and deliver high-quality design solutions on schedule. Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and visualization skills. Positive attitude, attention to detail, and high level of professionalism. Proficient in CorelDRAW (X6 or newer) or Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with architectural and technical drawings, layouts, and dimensioning. Ability to develop design concepts by hand and digitally. Knowledge of industrial or signage design principles preferred. Education & Experience Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1–2 years of professional design experience required.
