American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of inpatient, outpatient, and adult ICU experience for a contract assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an interventional radiology setting with both inpatient and outpatient procedures on adult ICU patientsUse of specialized equipment including PACS, C-Arm, contrast injectors (preferably ACIST), pushable / detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, Snare Kits, and injector systemsPerform a variety of procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephograms, peripheral interventions, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, and GU / Abd / Pelvis / upper -lower extremity proceduresEMR used is Epic; prior experience requiredDay shift schedule is 4x10 hours (7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM)Call rotation averages 10 days per month and will include weekendsHoliday coverage required as specified for major holidaysNo floating required outside the assigned departmentCandidates must be able to use and deploy pushable / detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, and Snare KitsProficiency with injector systems, such as ACIST, is requiredOnly first-time travelers are acceptedAssignment requires availability to work 4 out of 8 major holidays, or 2 out of 4 if assignment ends before ChristmasNo RTO except as approved at time of application; additional requests are at manager discretionAllied health staff may not work past 1 continuous year as a traveler without a 6 month break before returningScrubs are provided and onsite parking is available at no costTravelers must remain clean-shaven for respiratory FIT testing\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in interventional radiology involving outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU patientsCurrent BLS and ARRT certifications requiredDemonstrated competency with the specialized procedures and equipment listedEpic EMR experience requiredMust live more than 70 miles from the facility; locals not accepted2 recent professional supervisor references from the past two years requiredOSHA Respirator Clearance and clean-shaven appearance required for FIT testingMust complete all required modules prior to startLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
