American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in home health, serving geriatric and middle-aged adults with no pediatric caseloadCommon patient diagnoses include orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, pulmonary, diabetes, and other conditionsDaily caseload consists of 5-6 home health visits per dayWork schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm, with approximately every 6th weekend and 2 holidays required, no call dutiesEpic is the charting system used and Epic experience is requiredPosition does not require floating to other facilitiesScrubs are provided as part of the dress codeMain responsibilities include providing PT assessments and treatments in patient homes, setting patient-centered goals, and supervising PTAsWork as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering excellent quality careFirst-time travelers may be considered following an interviewReturn staff must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a travelerNo more than 7 days of requested time off are allowed per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first weekOnboarding includes orientation with a preceptor and required modulesAllied travelers can stay up to 12 months and must take a 6-month break after, while standard travelers may stay 18 months and must take a 3-month break thereafterLarge office parking area available\n \n Requirements\n
Current PT license required for the state of practice; license required if applicableMinimum 1 year of recent, relevant physical therapy experience in home healthBLS certification requiredValid MO license or compact license required at time of consideration for Missouri; Illinois license required at time of consideration for IllinoisEpic EMR experience requiredDemonstrated independence, strong case management skills, organization, patient-centered focus, and supervisory skillsMust reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility\n Benefits\n
