Surgical Technologist OR Scrub Tech in Wyoming (Sign-On Bonus)

Job Summary : The Surgical Technologist prepares for and assists the Surgeon during operative procedures, adhering to approved techniques, policies, and procedures. They perform duties within the Scope of Service for Surgical Services, participate in the SJH Corporate Compliance Program, and engage in Performance Improvement activities.

Essential Functions :

Patient Care :

• Exercise critical thinking and independent judgment in patient care within a multidisciplinary approach.
• Assist the physician using proper techniques and ensure patient preparation for procedures.
• Support the RN in accurately and timely carrying out physician orders.
• Coordinate each patient's care needs with the preoperative team.
• Adhere to medication administration policy, including labeling medications and verifying transfers.
• Organize and prioritize the surgical plan of care efficiently.
• Provide clear and concise reports when transferring patient care to another provider.
