Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Chicago, IL 60615 (Hyde Park) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Room Start Date : November 25, 2025 End Date : February 24, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2050-$2100 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) Floating : Required within 50 miles as needed Scrub Color : Navy Blue (not provided) Charting System : Cerner EMR Parking : On-site parking garage ($5 per entry) PACU RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience in an acute care hospital Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (must be valid at time of application) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions) Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Ability to float to various units and facilities within 50 miles as needed Compliance with facility RTO and all healthcare policies PACU RN Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery or medical procedures Monitor patient vital signs, manage pain and post-operative symptoms, and respond to emergencies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic medical records Float to other nursing units or healthcare facilities as required Participate in weekend rotations and adhere to all scheduling and compliance policies Experience the excitement of Chicago nursing jobs while making a difference in patient care.
