About the Role : A Cashier is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using the cash register. Duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale. Cashier's duties are performed primarily in the front of the store at the registers. A Cashier may be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work includes walking, standing, lifting, moving, carrying and stocking product, along with interaction with customers, associates, truck drivers, and vendors.
Responsibilities Include :
Counting the money in the drawers at the beginning of every shift and ensuring there is adequate changeGreeting customers and answering questionsMaintaining a clean and orderly checkout areaIdentifying the prices of goods and calculating billsReceiving payment by credit card, debit card, cash, check, vouchers, or automatic debitsIssuing change, credit, and refundsIssuing receipts and couponsKeeping drawer currency sorted, wrapped, and organizedAbout The Pay :
