Accountant / Experienced Tax Preparer

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

5 to 7 years accounting experience in a professional environment

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent related experience

Public accounting experience

a plus

CPA or Enrolled Agent is a plus

Experience meeting with clients and preparing individual and business tax returns a plus

Provide exceptional client service using strong communication, meeting deadlines and listening and responding to client needs in a timely fashion

Strong organizational and computer skills

Clear communication and team work skills

Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving ability

Must be able to work independently and, maintain productivity and accuracy

Experience with MS Office (Word & Excel at a minimum)

Experience with accounting and tax software; Ultra Tax, QuickBooks and Creative Solutions Accounting / ACS a plus

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Examine accounting records; prepare accounting and bookkeeping reports

Prepare financial statements

Statement and account reconciliations

Sales and Use Tax calculations and compliance

Billings and accounts receivable management

Accounts payable

Journal entries and adjusting journal entries

Maintain fixed assets, reconcile additions and disposals, post depreciation expense entries

Quarterly and year end payroll and independent contractor reporting
