Job Description

We are searching for a highly skilled Senior Program Manager for a full-time onsite position at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) Penn State supports our sponsor's mission of developing and demonstrating cutting-edge technologies and concepts for the U.S. Navy. You will serve as a program manager for numerous technical Navy projects. This will also require regular visits to the Pentagon to brief senior gov’t civilians / senior Military on progress of programs, risks, next steps etc. Requires person who is comfortable presenting to high level pentagon personnel and has a solid understanding of the environment.

You will :

  • Conduct data analysis and produce reports to support decision-making and program assessment
  • Collaborate with other program managers to track project milestones, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans and schedules
  • Perform research on emerging technologies and concepts relevant to program initiatives
  • Lead or support meetings, workshops, and presentations related to program projects
  • Assessing and advising on potential issues related to costs, schedules, and performance
  • Planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of operations and programs
  • Develop monthly reports to inform leadership of cost, schedule, and performance of program portfolio

Required skill / experience include :

  • Experience working with projects of significant dollar volumes
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills
  • Extensive business development experience
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of Navy operations and defense technology programs
  • U.S. Citizenship to include an active TS / SCI with Poly Clearance
