POSITION TITLE : Cash Handling Associate

REPORTS TO : Customer Service Manager / Bookkeeper

FLSA STATUS : Non Exempt

JOB SUMMARY : Join our team as a Cash Handling Associate, where your role will be vital in providing excellent service to our customers while managing transactions efficiently. You will operate a cash register in a manner that adheres to all front-end procedures and company policies. Your commitment to customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous service is essential to our success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Accurately and efficiently scan grocery items during checkout.
• Identify and address non-scanning items and department codes.
• Employ effective scan and bag techniques to ensure time-efficient processing.
• Count and secure cash drawer at the start of each shift.
• Handle payment methods with accuracy, following cash control policies.
• Implement void procedures correctly as needed.
• Identify produce items accurately and use the relevant lookup codes.
• Enforce security protocols related to shoplifting and company policies.
• Understand proper store supply management practices.
• Stay informed on weekly ad and promotional items.
• Provide excellent customer service with proper greetings and acknowledgments.
• Comply with all company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
