A Brief Overview
As a Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will operate radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians, as well as possibly perform invasive diagnostic procedures following established standards.
What You Will Do :
- Prepare and position patients for imaging tests while promoting breast health and education.
- Adjust equipment settings for optimal images.
- Engage in mobile mammogram technology as scheduled.
- Document procedures and prepare images for Radiologist interpretation, ensuring organized reporting.
- Assist in training staff and students through on-the-job orientations.
- Screen and prepare patients before exams and procedures.
- Participate in breast imaging quality control and assurance initiatives.
- Manage supply ordering and stocking, including laundry duties.
- Support the interpreting physician with interventional breast procedures.

Required Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience :
Associate's degree from an accredited program in radiological technology, or 1-2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Radiography (R) - ARRT certification required upon hire.Mammography (M) - ARRT certification required to be pursued and completed within 1 year.Expectations and Standards :
