Quality Assurance Manager
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing QA testing and control validation to ensure compliance with investor and regulatory requirements, identify emerging risks, and strengthen operational governance.
Essential Functions
- Quality Testing Oversight Lead QA testing of operational processes and system controls to ensure compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA, CFPB, and internal policy requirements.
- Root Cause and Remediation Tracking Partner with Operations and Issue Management to identify, document, and monitor remediation of QA findings and systemic issues.
- Policy and Procedure Alignment Validate that operational manuals and P&Ps reflect current regulatory and investor requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Compliance, Risk, and Audit to align QA testing with enterprise risk themes and control testing.
- Training Feedback Loop Provide QA-driven feedback to improve training materials and operational performance.
- QA Automation and System Enhancements Enhance QA automation through Libretto rule development and other technology-based controls to improve testing efficiency and consistency.
- Change Management Testing Update QA test scripts and coverage for new or revised processes, systems, and regulatory changes introduced through the Change Management process.
Competencies / Skills
Regulatory and Investor Knowledge Strong understanding of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, and CFPB servicing requirements.Risk and Control Mindset Ability to link QA testing methodology to broader operational, compliance, and reputational risks.Analytical Reporting Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for analyzing QA data and trends.Process Documentation Skilled in reviewing and updating standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.Issue Management Collaboration Experience coordinating QA findings with enterprise risk and issue tracking frameworks.Change Management Ability to evaluate process changes and system releases for QA and control impact.Coaching and Development Builds team capability through regular feedback, coaching, and skill development.Accountability Sets clear expectations and holds team members responsible for quality, timeliness, and accuracy.Motivational Leadership Inspires team engagement and commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.Delegation Effectively assigns work according to team strengths and monitors progress without micromanaging.Decision Making Exercises sound judgment in balancing risk, compliance, and operational priorities.Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, Monday Friday position with additional time as needed.
Education and Experience
Minimum High School DiplomaAt least two years' experience in Quality Assurance / Control preferred.Mortgage Servicing or Financial Services experience preferred.Experience with QA automation tools or rule development (e.g., Libretto) and data analysis techniques to support process improvement.What's in it for you?
