Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer - Vascular Technologist

\n\n

Job Details : \n

  • Float to multiple locations including Glens Falls, Amsterdam, Hudson, Niskayuna, Saratoga Springs, and Kingston

    • \n

  • Perform noninvasive diagnostic tests to detect vascular disease and report findings to medical staff

    • \n

  • Conduct all vascular testing independently including reflux studies, visceral examinations, pulse volume recordings (PVR), deep venous thrombosis (DVT) studies, carotids, bypass grafts, aortic ultrasounds, vein mappings, and dialysis access scans

    • \n

  • Must be proficient in venous duplex, arterial bypass, fistula hemodialysis graft, aortic grafts and AAA, renal artery duplex, mesenteric artery duplex, pulse volume recording, vein mapping, venous reflux duplex, and hepatic-portal duplex

    • \n

  • Perform patient assessment including documentation of medical and surgical history and presenting symptoms

    • \n

  • Work at various on-site locations including vascular clinic / lab, nursing units, ER, and OR

    • \n

  • Transport, load, and unload equipment using personal transportation

    • \n

  • Complete necessary documentation including billing CPT and ICD codes

    • \n

  • Provide backup coverage on occasional weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts for inpatients

    • \n

  • Maintain and clean equipment after use and restock supplies

    • \n

  • Associates degree in Sonography in Vascular Tech with RVT or RVS Certification required

    • \n

  • Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required

    • \n

  • Minimum 3 years experience in general or vascular ultrasound department at outside facility required

    • \n

  • Ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment regularly

    • \n

  • Must maintain competent high-quality imaging skills while adhering to IAC standards
