Job Overview

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology and computer systems to ensure the efficient operation of technology infrastructure and services across the campus at Dow Rummel Village. This role involves managing IT staff, implementing technology solutions, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the Link IT department. The primary focus will be to provide exceptional technological support, education, and resources to the residents and staff. Leading a team of technicians and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

3-5 years' experience in IT, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience considered.
Strong technical expertise in networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and software applications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
Commitment to providing exceptional service to staff and residents.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Must have good interpersonal skills – oral and written communication skills, positive, patient attitude, and willingness to work as a member of a team to accomplish assigned tasks.
Must possess strong leadership skills to effectively guide and motivate a team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks; to ensure resident satisfaction while maintaining financial efficiency.
Must demonstrate the ability to be energetic, enthusiastic, and creative in working with residents.
Must have the ability to understand and follow task orientation and instructions, rules and procedures as outlined in orientation and training.

Responsible for leading, planning, and directing the activities of the IT department.

Oversee core IT services, including servers, networks, endpoints, backups, security patching, and system uptime to ensure consistent, reliable performance across the organization.

Collaborate with vendors and managed service providers (MSPs) on performance, service scope, and daily issue resolution to maintain high operational standards.

Generate and analyze monthly IT performance reports, including ticket metrics, system uptime, and project progress, to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of data, networks, and systems.

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, networking equipment, and peripherals.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, coordinating with vendors and service providers as needed.

Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure data protection.

Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to meet the organization's needs and budgetary constraints.

Manage IT projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Oversee the IT departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and vendor management.

Provide technical support and assistance to staff and residents, resolving issues promptly and effectively.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the organization.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable data protection regulations.

Contribute to strategic planning for technology infrastructure to align IT initiatives with Dow Rummel Village's long-term goals and innovation priorities in mind.

Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology requirements and provide guidance and support as needed.

Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer service within the IT department.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.
