Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Location : St. Louis, MO (primary) | Springfield, IL (secondary)
Compensation : $82,500–$125,000+ DOE, plus comprehensive benefits
Work Arrangement : Hybrid (onsite + remote flexibility)
Overview
A well-established, multi-state law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join its growing Illinois practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle a dedicated workers’ compensation defense caseload with autonomy, backed by strong team support and modern, paperless practice tools. The firm provides the infrastructure for a hybrid work environment and is open to considering a variety of work arrangements, including full-time, part-time, or of counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an Illinois workers’ compensation defense caseload with independence and sound judgment
Conduct depositions, mediations, and handle trials as needed
Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients
Participate in firmwide marketing and business development initiatives
Collaborate effectively within a supportive, team-oriented environment
Utilize technology to manage files efficiently in a paperless practice

Qualifications
1–5 years of relevant workers’ compensation or litigation experience
Active Illinois law license in good standing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
