Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and trauma level 1 exposure for a night shift travel assignment.
Responsibilities
Acute care setting in a trauma level 1 environmentCT unit with 8 treatment areas handling a mixed patient population from pediatrics to geriatricsWork schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM with call requirementsVariety of studies performed including CTAs, cardiac, perfusion, and a busy OR and ER imaging caseloadDepartment uses Siemens CT equipment and Bracco contrast injectorsEMR system is Epic; PACS system is McKessonFloating may be required between main campus and UC campus (stand-alone ER)Overnight techs may be asked to perform both CT and X-ray proceduresDepartment is fast-paced with high acuity patients across all age rangesRole requires a proactive, team-oriented technologist who can manage multiple priorities and take initiativeFloating to other imaging modalities (MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound) may be required depending on departmental needsCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility, determined by driver’s license addressNot eligible if employed full time, part time, or PRN by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past yearUpfront request for time off (RTO) is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approvedHoliday coverage may be required as neededArtificial nails are prohibited; refusal to comply will result in contract terminationRadiation badge provided by the facilityRequirements
Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT TechnologistTrauma level 1 experience requiredPrior travel assignment experience requiredActive state license required if applicable; pending licensure not acceptedCurrent BLS and ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) certification preferredProficiency in venipuncture and ability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Siemens CT scanners and Bracco contrast injectors preferredMust submit a copy of driver’s license for considerationReferences required : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityBenefits
