Position Description
The Payroll Manager provides leadership and daily oversight of payroll operations, ensuring that all payroll activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable regulations, contracts, and institutional policies. Reporting to the Associate Director of Payroll, this role is responsible for supervising staff, optimizing payroll processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support the college's financial integrity and employee satisfaction.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Education : A bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field is required.
- Experience : Minimum of one year of professional experience in accounting or payroll.
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with ADP payroll processing systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage payroll in a complex, multi-union environment
- Prior experience working in an educational institution

Manage payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliation, and ensure compliance with regulations, contracts, and policiesSupervise and mentor payroll staffCommunicate with employees and external agencies regarding payroll mattersCoordinate with other departments for payroll submissions and dataMaintain payroll calendars and meet deadlinesSupport budget development and financial analysisAssist in the development and implementation of workflow process improvementsServe on college committees as assignedOther duties as assigned.
