LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Massachusetts!

Pay Information

$310 to $315 per hour

About The Position

We are actively seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join a well-established community hospital system in Massachusetts. This opportunity involves floating coverage between two hospitals, with the primary need for overnight shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) . Preference will be given to providers with an active Massachusetts license and best availability.

Position Highlights :

Trauma Level : 3

Total Beds : 32

Annual ED Volume : Approximately 55,000 visits

Shift Length : 12-hour shifts available

EMR System : Meditech

Code Responsibility : No

Admissions : Handled by hospitalists or admitting services (not physician responsibility)

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Coverage : Yes

Admission Rate : Approximately 30% of ED patients admitted daily

On-Call Response Time : 30 minutes per hospital bylaws

Deliveries : Sent directly to Labor & Delivery (not handled in ED)

Paramedic / Ambulance Supervision : Yes, includes radio monitoring

Credentialing & Support :

Temporary privileges available during credentialing

Hotel reimbursement provided for out-of-area providers

Local candidates preferred; no flights required

Requirements :

Active Massachusetts medical license preferred; MA-licensed providers prioritized

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (within 5 years of residency)

BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
