This position reports to :

Partner Business Director - Americas

The work model for the role is : Remote

Main responsibilities :

  • You are a strategic thinker and a relationship builder, someone who understands the power of partnerships in driving growth. Your mission is to expand ABB's Process Automation business by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing a strong network of channel partners.
  • Lead with strategy : You will define and execute a robust sales strategy through channel partners to deliver order volume and profitability targets.
  • Market expansion & growth : You will evaluate market segments, determining where to deploy direct, indirect, or multi-channel sales efforts to maximize ABB's market share.
  • Build & strengthen partnerships : More than just signing agreements, you will cultivate and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with top-tier channel partners.
  • Enable partner success : You'll ensure partners have the technical and commercial training, tools, and support needed to sell and integrate ABB's distributed control systems.
  • Drive synergies across ABB solutions : You'll connect ABB's DCS technology with complementary offerings.
  • Champion collaboration : You'll work closely with marketing, sales, and business development teams.

Qualifications :

  • Strong background in indirect sales and channel management.
  • Expertise in petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, refining, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, power generation, water & waste water, or food & beverage industries.
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A self-starter mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30 - 50% across eastern US states.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.
  • Experience in driving change initiatives in large, complex organizations.

    While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $98,700 and $183,300 annually and is bonus eligible.
