What We’re Looking For

Are you a compassionate Social Worker dedicated to supporting students’ well-being and success in school? Here’s what you’ll need to join our team :

Education : Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

Licensure : Valid Texas license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Certification : Eligible for Texas Education Agency (TEA) certification if required by the district.

Language Proficiency : Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Your Role

As a School-Based Social Worker, you’ll play a critical role in promoting students’ social, emotional, and academic well-being. Here’s how you’ll contribute :

Assess Needs : Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and family needs that may impact learning.

Provide Support : Offer individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services to help students overcome barriers to education.

Collaborate on Plans : Work closely with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team and other school staff to develop and implement strategies that support student success.

Engage Families : Partner with parents and caregivers to connect families with school and community resources, providing education and advocacy as needed.

Crisis Response : Respond promptly to urgent situations, ensuring student safety and providing appropriate referrals.

Team Participation : Actively engage in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students’ needs.

Track Progress : Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and adjust interventions based on data and outcomes.
