PRN Operating Room / Circulating RN

Franklin General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Operating Room / Circulating RN to join our surgical team. This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment, and coordinating care among the surgical team. The PRN RN will work on an as-needed basis to support scheduled procedures. No weekends or call shifts.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to maintain efficient workflow.
• Prepare the OR for procedures, including equipment setup and verification of supplies.
• Monitor and document patient status throughout the perioperative process.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide patient education and emotional support pre- and post-operatively.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
