Location : Garden Gate Health Care Facility

Shift : Full-Time 7a-3p (every other weekend) & Part-Time 3p-11pm (Every Other weekend)

Rate of Pay : $16.15 / hr. - $18.61 / hr. (depending on experience)

Our facility provides exceptional care in a compassionate setting, and we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team and support the upkeep of our building and grounds.

Position Summary :

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring our facility operates smoothly and remains a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, working collaboratively with the Maintenance Director and other team members.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance needs.

Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently.

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of building grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris removal.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair techniques.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
