  • This position is at an Unarmed Correctional Facility between Issaquah and Snoqualmie.

WEEKEND AND GRAVEYARD SHIFTS ARE REQUIRED

    Responsibilities / Duties :

  • Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
  • Conduct regular patrols
  • Monitor activities
  • Surveillance
  • Access Control
  • Safety escorts
  • Using provided communication devices
  • Represent SSNW’s brand
  • Properly wear the issued uniform
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
  • Complete Incident Reports
  • Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
  • Other duties as described in the Post Orders

    • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a clean criminal record and driving record
  • 2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and / or Security) preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in / out, and reporting.
  • Honesty and Integrity
  • Able to work non-traditional hours including graveyard, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have a current Security Guard License, or be able to obtain a Washington State Unarmed Security Guard License
  • Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations

    • Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior Public Safety and / or Military experience preferred
  • Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
