Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments and procedures, and document care according to policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
- Evaluate patient needs and responses to evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in making care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as ordered, both over-the-counter and prescription.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to establish a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel to maintain high standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is desirable.Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledgeable in quality concepts and demonstrates the ability to apply problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care quality.Thank you for considering a rewarding career at Albany Medical Center!
