Shipping & Receiving Specialist

This role involves handling various types of storage units, ranging from personal use to commercial applications. The primary responsibility is to pick and pull orders, utilizing a forklift to transport them to the packaging area and packing the orders. Note that this is not a full forklift role, as forklift usage is only about 40% of the time. Sit-down propane forklifts are used.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to load and unload materials from trucks.
• Read and interpret purchase orders, packing lists, picking tickets, and shipping documents.
• Verify received products match purchase orders / packing lists and input receipt of items into the system using a scan gun or computer.
• Prepare shipments using FedEx and LTL shipping methods, ensuring items are picked, packaged, and prepared for shipment securely.
• Use hand and power tools for assembling parts and creating shipping crates.
• Utilize a scan gun and computer for inventory management and creating bundles.
• Safely operate forklifts to move items for picking, staging orders, and loading / unloading trucks.
• Create boxes and secure bundles using banding equipment and pallet wrapping machines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
