Job Description
The Part-Time Family Support Assistant assists in the management of a busy household with three (3) school-aged children, ages thirteen (13), twelve (12), and ten (10). This role combines hands-on childcare, general household support, and light personal assistance to ensure the home runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic family environment. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a caring nature are essential for success in this role.
Working Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday 11 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
- Potential for transition to a full-time position
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in spoken and written English requiredStrong interpersonal skills with both children and teenagersCapable of providing reliable and safe transportation for childrenAbility to multitask and maintain organizationValid Texas Driver License with acceptable MVR and background checkResponsibilities
Provides safe, reliable transportation for children to and from school, extracurricular activities, sports practices, and appointments.Encourages and motivates children to complete homework and school projects in a timely and organized manner.Fosters a supportive, positive presence for pre-teens and teenagers.Manages grocery shopping needs, including maintaining and updating shopping lists, placing online orders, and making in-store purchases as needed.Assists with meal preparation to support regular family dinners.Performs light cleaning and laundry tasks to help maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready home environment.Assists with various household projects and demonstrates initiative by identifying and recommending areas that require attention or improvement.Assists with the care of two dogs, including providing occasional walks.Performs errands as required.Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
