Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Technician to perform routine chemical analyses and laboratory tests supporting research, quality control, and production processes. This role operates under the supervision of a chemist or laboratory manager, ensuring accurate and timely results that meet established standards.
Job Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations
- Prepare, calibrate, maintain, and clean chemistry laboratory instruments and equipment
- Conduct chemical tests and experiments, ensuring compliance with established protocols and specifications
- Handle and prepare chemical reagents and solutions for testing
- Perform sample preparation, including weighing, measuring, and mixing chemicals
- Collect samples from manufacturing cleanrooms and water systems for chemical analysis
Data Management & Documentation
Collect, analyze, and record data from tests accurately and systematicallyPrepare comprehensive reports using charts, graphs, and written summariesMaintain accurate documentation of procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks or electronic systemsDocument findings and ensure compliance with laboratory standardsSafety & Troubleshooting
Follow safety protocols for handling chemicals and hazardous materialsAssist in troubleshooting equipment or test anomaliesReport findings and issues to supervising chemistAdhere to all company rules and safety requirementsKnowledge & Skills
Technical Competencies
Basic understanding of chemical principles, laboratory techniques, and safety proceduresFamiliarity with laboratory instruments such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, and titration equipmentCompetence in analyzing data and accurately documenting resultsExperience working with laboratory equipmentProfessional Skills

Education
High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or related field preferredExperience
