Casa Serena is a residential substance use, mental health, trauma and eating disorder treatment center for women only. We are currently looking to add creative, compassionate and innovative individuals to the team in the position of Group Facilitator!
As Santa Barbara's only licensed and accredited treatment program for women, we deliver high quality integral care in a collaborative team environment. Our unique curriculum is designed to help women and staff flourish. We believe in providing our staff with the resources and tools necessary to make a lasting impression on our vulnerable population. This is an excellent position for growth and someone who wants to be in the mental health field.
Schedule : Part Time, evening and weekend availability preferred.
Primary Purpose and Function
The Group Facilitator provides direct service to the clients in the form of therapeutic, psychoeducation, experiential and process groups and activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Facilitate therapeutic, psychoeducation, and process groups as assigned
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments and other clinical evaluations as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support effective treatment, discharge planning and care coordination
- Respond to client needs with timely and appropriate crisis intervention
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with Joint Commission standards and state licensing requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer and Executive Team to support client care and organizational needs
Requirements :

Licensed / registered associate (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, AMFT, ACSW, APCC) or equivalent requiredCurrent professional liability insurance preferredCurrent CPR & First Aid Certification and TB / Health Screen within 60 days of employment (or willing to obtain upon 7 days of hire)Basic computer skills, experience in MS Office or Google Suite preferredExperience in a behavioral health treatment facility preferredCoursework in psychology, addiction studies or social work preferredValid driver’s license, clean driving record and insurable by our insurance carrier
