Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details :

• Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday from 12 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM with rotating start times as needed
• No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Float within scope to ICU, main PACU, PCU, MS, and ER Holding as needed
• Patient ratios of 2 : 1 (preop may be 1 : 3)
• Minimum 2-3 years Level 1 ICU experience required (Level 2 ICU experience will be reviewed)
• Critical care experience required for high acuity PACU with 80% of patients admitted to hospital post-procedure
• Must be comfortable with artificial airways, invasive monitoring including ICP, transfusions, and vasoactive drugs
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS (CCRN and TNCC preferred)
• Required skills : dysrhythmia recognition / management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patients
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• 40-hour orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for surgical patients from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant
• Patient population includes adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric patients in Level 1 trauma center
• Night shift will need to learn preoperative patient workup
• No more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
