The following is the basic job description for the Logistics Associate position current as of the date noted above. Any alterations, substitutions, or additions must be approved in writing by two of the following people : Human Resource Manager, Vice President, or Operations Manager. This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager (where applicable) and indirectly to other members of Branch management. Branch Management covers it to include the Assistant Managers.

Basic Function : The primary function of this position is to maintain and cause to maintain the high SES standards for customer service always thru logistics and sales support. Variances in customer service levels provided should be reported to Branch Manager, Assistant Manager, Logistics Manager or another applicable Administrative Manager.

Job Classification : Non-Exempt position

Essential Functions :

• Provide exceptional customer service always to our internal and external customer base to maintain the high SES standards for customer service.
• Maintain a clean organized showroom and warehouse consistent with company safety and appearance standards
• Complete training for regulatory compliance (e.g., Hazmat, forklift) as required.
• Maintain open communication with Branch Management and Corporate Management. Keep all parties informed of outcomes, discrepancies, safety concerns and / or potential problems.
• Comply with any reasonable management request.

Work Environment :

This job operates in a professional office and logistical environment. Must be proficient in the operation of forklifts (where applicable), pallet jacks, packaging material machines, etc. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and standard software suite(s), such as the ERP system, an HCM system, and the Microsoft suite of products.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally list and / or move objects up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
