Job Description

You'll have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced engineering professionals while managing your own projects and developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing solutions on existing and new process lines for increased safety, quality, productivity, and cost savings. Responsibilities
- Provides sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures.
- Studies and recommends techniques to improve existing equipment and processes.
- Coordinates design activities and installations with other departments.
- Provide process line technical support including, but not limited to, investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries as requested.
- Completes engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes.
- Represents engineering department on cross functional teams.
- Prepares specifications for equipment and installation and secures bids from suppliers and contractors.
- Analyzes equipment and contractor installation specifications.
- Prepares layout and design drawings as required.
- Requisitions material and equipment for capital projects.
- Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup and evaluation of new equipment.
- Prepares progress reports on capital projects.
- Maintains engineering documentation including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.5+ years experience in process or manufacturing engineering.Process and operations knowledge.Excellent computer hardware and software applications knowledge.Data driven decision making; Effective use of process automation tools and IT.Thorough and organized.Confident and steady under pressure.Manufacturing Methods and Procedure knowledge.Must be able to travel up to 25% and be available to travel significantly while on larger projects.Additional Information
