The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Job Profile Summary : The Director, Assessment and Curriculum provides leadership and vision to the ongoing design, development, and evaluation of the programs within the college. The director innovatively transforms college programs into relevant and engaging student experiences with reliable and valid competency-based assessment experiences. This position relies heavily on student engagement and performance data and student, faculty, and employer feedback to measure and monitor the effectiveness of curriculum, learning resources, and assessments and create strategies for improvement. In collaboration with the College academic leadership, peers, and other stakeholders, the Director, Assessment and Curriculum will lead continuous efforts to improve student outcomes. The director is accountable for the on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality courses and initiatives.

Essential Functions :

• Design, develop and manage curriculum programs, courses, assessments that are aligned with approved strategy and business model.
• Develop and lead college curriculum and assessment methodologies.
• Develop and implement new curriculum and assessment design aligned with program charter requirements.
• Develop and manage a team of product owners and assessment strategists, including coaching, mentoring, professional development, provide feedback to direct reports with suggestions for improved performance.
• Develop and manage budgets that supports the product development roadmap, sustainability, controls costs, and provides value to students.
• Develop student and stakeholder listening strategies to identify and address unmet needs.
• Communicate clearly and productively with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of student and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Ensure the new and existing competency-based curricular solutions promote student success.
• Ensures new products, processes, and procedures align with department initiatives and address student needs.
