Verisign is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer tojoin our Production Operations team. This is a technical position with high visibility and cross-functional responsibility. Successful applicants must demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, time management skills, and prioritization skills. In this Dev / Ops role, you will lead the design and implementation of the application, which monitors KPIs of flagship products of the company in Production and Capacity, Availability, Performance & Scalability (CAPS) environments, analyze performance trends and provide insights and recommendations. You will act as backup for a REST API based internal database governance platform database application.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical Leadership : Develop and maintain the application which ingests the performance data and health metrics of the flagship products from various data sources into Postgres DB and uses Grafana / GWT dashboards to visualize and monitor the ingested data. Migrate GWT dashboards to Grafana dashboards.Deploy and manage the application stack including the Postgres DB in Kubernetes.
• Performance Monitoring : Analyze registry performance metrics to ensure SLAs are met.Write complex analytical SQL queries for performance monitoring, trend analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and scalable monitoring. Obtain and share knowledge about internal operations applications.
• Documentation : Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations. Providing detailed analysis and explanation of data for senior leadership.

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work environment.

The pay range is $164,300 - $222,300.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
