Job Description
Senior Accountant – Public Accounting (Omaha, NE)
Join a firm where your work matters — and your life outside of work does, too.
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established Omaha CPA firm, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team. This is an opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys tax work but is ready for a better balance — more flexibility, more impact, and a clear path to partnership.
You’ll collaborate directly with firm leadership and clients, taking ownership of projects rather than getting lost in a large firm hierarchy. The ideal candidate brings experience in individual and business taxation, strong technical acumen, and a desire to grow into a leadership role.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Advise clients on tax strategies, planning, and compliance
- Assist with year-end financials, compilations, and other accounting services
- Build long-term client relationships through proactive communication and trusted guidance
- Mentor junior staff and help shape firm processes and best practices
- Work closely with partners on firm strategy, client management, and growth initiatives
