Location / Division Specific Information

This position is part of our dynamic Statistical Science team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The role is remote, offering a12-month internship with a proposed 20 hours per week.

Join us in our mission to drive groundbreaking discoveries in clinical trials. As a Statistical Science Intern, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing clinical trial data and developing novel analytical tools.

A day in the Life :

Perform statistical programming and analyses using R and SAS.

Develop and maintain R Shiny applications for data visualization.

Collaborate with AI / ML experts to integrate biostatistical workflows.

To excel in this role, you should be highly motivated, meticulous, and possess outstanding analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are crucial, as is the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Currently pursuing a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

Strong proficiency in R and SAS.

Experience developing R applications using Shiny.

Familiarity with clinical trial data analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Solid understanding of clinical trial design and regulatory guidelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques is a plus.
