About The Position

Job Title : NICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required; 3 years preferred

License : Current RN license required

Certifications : BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required

Must-Have :

Must have PICU and CTICU experience due to float requirements

First-timers accepted with more than 2 years of NICU experience

Description :

We are seeking a NICU Registered Nurse to join our team.

The nurse will be responsible for providing care to neonates.

This position requires the ability to float to PICU and CTICU as needed.

Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage is required.

Flexibility is a must.

There is no on-call requirement for this position.

Candidates must be proficient in various NICU skills such as :

Administration of blood and blood products

Management of PICC and peripheral lines

Assist with tube feeds and gavage feeding

Administration of anti-seizure medications

Neonatal Abstinence management

Blood glucose monitoring

Ventilator management

Use of phototherapy and bubble CPAP

Candidates will be expected to provide developmentally supportive care.

Additionally, candidates will support families with education on neonate care.

This role requires strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Candidates should have experience utilizing the electronic documentation system, Epic.

This position involves a daily census of 58 neonates in the unit.
