Job Summary
Employee works under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager on routine duties following standard policies and procedures. Refers problems and questions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate forklift safely to move product into inventory / onto and off truck
- Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods
- Properly label product and package product for inventory
- Ensure packaged quantities are correct and quality is up to standards
- Load trucks with finished product for delivery
- Before loading product for shipment ensure packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for shipment
- Complete Daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment
- Cross Training for Equipment Operator Dry Side
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experienceAbility to read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsFollow all safety proceduresAbility to carry out instructions, both written and oralMathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of units of measureAble to work any shiftForklift CertifiedAbility to work in a team environmentPrevious experience in a manufacturing environmentBilingual in English and SpanishWhile performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of timeAbility to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet highMust wear company provided personal protective equipment - earplugs, hard hat, safety boots / shoes, and protective glassesCandidates must provide their own safety boots / shoes upon hire and will be eligible to participate in Safety Boots / Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employmentCompensation
