Description : What you'll be doing

Sabey Data Centers, is hiring a Data Center Facilities Engineer to join their team in Quincy, WA. This entry-level role is designed for someone eager to grow their career in data center operations, gain hands-on technical experience, and work with industry-leading infrastructure and systems. You will be part of a team committed to operational excellence and safety in mission-critical environments.

What You'll Be Doing : hands-on day-to-day facility maintenance, repairs, and operations within the company's portfolio. The role involves maintaining data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and providing support to the operations team. The data centers include a variety of electrical, mechanical, and environmental control systems from multiple brands to support our tenants.

Responsibilities

• Routine Equipment Maintenance : Execute scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks on data center equipment; perform equipment checks, inspections, and cleaning; support preventive maintenance activities; ensure tasks are done on schedule to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Monitoring and Alert Response : Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, power) using monitoring tools; respond to alarms and alerts; review dashboards for equipment health.
• Assistance in Issue Resolution : Work with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; diagnose problems, implement solutions, and document incident details and resolutions; participate in on-call rotations for 24 / 7 coverage.
• Inventory Management and Documentation : Manage inventory levels; procure replacement parts; maintain equipment configuration documentation.
• Vendor and Contractor Coordination : Work with external vendors during installations, upgrades, and repairs; ensure work meets standards and timelines.
• Adherence to Compliance and Safety : Follow data center procedures; maintain safety and security standards; promote a safety-conscious culture; use PPE as required.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity : Participate in planning efforts; help ensure operations are prepared to respond to emergencies and minimize downtime; assist in restoring services after outages.
• Incident Response : Be on an on-call rotation to respond to incidents; coordinate with the Operations team to implement disaster recovery plans; document incidents and root causes; communicate with stakeholders.
