Overnight Machine Operator

Location : NC 27302

Schedule : Monday – Thursday | 8 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM (Overnight Shift)

Pay : $20.50 / hour

Contract Length : 12 / 1 / 25 – 4 / 30 / 26 | Contract with Potential to Extend or Convert to Permanent

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment. The Operator 1, Machine plays a critical role in supporting production by setting up, operating, and maintaining advanced equipment while ensuring product quality and operational efficiency. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience looking to grow in a regulated environment with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, adjust, and shut down automated production equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance; identify repair needs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve basic production or quality issues.
  • Document all production and maintenance activities in compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Monitor line performance and drive improvements to output, scrap, and downtime.
  • Use SAP for inventory and production data entry; support MES workflow tracking.
  • Pull, load, and track raw materials and finished components.
  • Perform formulation / media prep activities including measuring and verifying raw materials.
  • Conduct simple tests such as pH checks to ensure batch quality.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and root-cause investigations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols.
  • Support training of new employees and contribute to SOP updates.
  • Perform additional duties and overtime as required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience , preferably in a regulated or GMP environment.

    • Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product or equipment deviations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret charts, diagrams, and production documentation.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with SAP and MES preferred .
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs , and perform repetitive motion tasks.
