Responsibilities Work in a hospital operating room environment with 16 OR suites, primarily focusing on cardiac cases Patient population includes primarily cardiac, vascular, neuro, trauma, gynecology, urology, pediatric, general, transplant, as well as some ENT and plastic procedures Average daily caseload is 35-50 cases with expectation of turnovers under 20 minutes Patient ratios 1 : 1 in a Level I trauma center Specialized equipment includes 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth neuro navigation, and Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma Responsibilities may include both scrubbing and circulating roles Epic EMR is used Scheduled Monday to Friday, 4x10 hour shifts per week Call required up to 2 overnights per week and 4 weekends per 13-week contract, with weekend call from Fri 5pm to Mon 6 : 30am Floating required across multiple campuses Scrubs are provided Required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving) Time off requests are limited to one day between 11 / 26–11 / 30 and 12 / 23–1 / 2 Average turnover expectation for cases is less than 20 minutes Prior employment within the past 12 months at the facility may affect eligibility Requirements Active IA or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 3 years of current OR experience in a hospital or medical center setting; outpatient experience is not accepted Strong proficiency in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures required Level I trauma center experience required Epic EMR experience preferred No first-time travelers will be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619851.
